It's hard to believe we are coming to the end of yet another term. While the weather has not been great and the after-school evenings dark, we have been covering alot of social skills teaching at the Centre. The juniors have been looking at the tricky issue of friendship-why we have friends, how we make friends and after the holiday we sahlle be looking at managing friendships so they last! The Senior group has been looking at a variety of issues ranging from self worth, assertiveness and leading an independent social life. For our final session of the term we are all going out to dinner to both celebrate the hard work this term and sadly to say goodbye to many of our peer mentors who will be leaving us after the holiday-watch this space for news and photos.
Ali and Charlie Chambers completed the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday on behalf of Auticulate-both in under two hours, which is a sensational achievement-and if you look at the photo below it looks like they barely had to raise a sweat to do so! On top of this they have raised £1252 which is an unbelievable amount of money for our little group. Thank you so much from everybody at Auticulate for this amazing effort!
